What is IAAPA?

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions is the “largest international trade association for permanently situated amusement facilities” in the world. Founded in 1918, IAAPA serves over 6,000 facility, supplier, and individual members across over a hundred countries. Their members include:

  • Amusement parks & attractions
  • Zoos & aquariums
  • Family entertainment centers
  • Museums & science centers
  • Water parks & resorts
  • Adventure & natural attractions
  • Manufacturers and suppliers for all of the above.

What is the IAAPA Expo?

Hosted in Orlando, Florida from November 17-21, the IAAPA Expo is an opportunity for members of the attractions and amusements community to meet to share knowledge about HR, business negotiation, crisis management, and marketing techniques, as well as to show off the newest technologies and products.

Digital Marketing and IAAPA

Amusement parks and other attractions need marketing just as much as anything else—even more so, sometimes, because you’re competing for limited free time and limited entertainment budgets. Unlike necessities, you’re not just marketing to people who know what they need and are trying to make a decision: you need to market both the idea of the park trip and your attraction specifically.

In 2025, theme park visitors were influenced by a range of sources; while 60% came in based on word of mouth, 40% of theme park visitors were influenced by social media postings. Additionally, 30% of visitors reported being influenced by advertising, whether online, television, or radio, and 30% relied on travel blogs or websites for their decisions.

Huge numbers of attraction visitors get their information from online sources. More than that, 30% of visitors use a given park’s website to determine whether they want to go, researching ticket prices, attractions, and reviews. If your website isn’t up to snuff, that’s 30% of your customer base that you’d be losing.

Game Brands can help you meet your potential visitors where they are, prepping your social media, website, and more to draw more eyes to your park.
